The ASEAN tourism awards aim to honor and develop the Thua Thien Hue tourism brand in the region, while also offering an opportunity for tourism units to improve the overall effectiveness of Vietnamese tourism promotion activities whilst also elevating the national destination brand.
This is also an opportunity for tourism businesses in Thua Thien Hue province to effectively introduce their tourism business models.
Nguyen Van Phuc, director of Thua Thien Hue Department of Tourism shared that the awards, which Hue has continuously received in recent times have significantly contributed to introducing Vietnamese tourism, especially Hue tourism to the world.
Furthermore, the ASEAN 2024 tourism award also helps Hue to create a unique feature compared to other destinations in ASEAN and Vietnam, thereby helping to attract more international tourists. Among them, Hue cuisine is one of the outstanding features that leaves a deep impression on a large number of tourists.
The tourism titles achieved by Thua Thien Hue will further contribute to promoting the overall brand of national tourism, elevating Hue as the festival city, whilst also being a culinary and Ao Dai (traditional dress) capital.

Based on popular online travel agency Kayak’s recent data, Travel off Path released the top seven Asian destinations for visitors to consider in the upcoming year. HCM City topped the list to be named as the trendiest Asian destination for 2023, becoming the most sought-after destination overall. According to details...

Primary schools and nurseries can be heard blaring out traditional Christmas songs to welcome arriving students, shopping centres have launched a range of promotions to lure in customers looking to buy gifts, and many businesses and residential buildings have put up an array of festive decorations to mark the occasion. Whilst these aspects of the holiday season have become more prevalent during December in Vietnam over the last few years, many traditional aspects of the festivities have so far failed to emerge in the way Vietnamese people celebrate the holiday. Indeed, it is common for many local people to think that Christmas Day is actually on December 24th as opposed to December 25th as this date coincides with the end of the Christmas sales. I recall one year seeing staff hurriedly removing festive decorations at Royal City ...
