Vietnamese Community in Japan Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival for the First Time
The festival, with the theme “Hello Saitama”, is one of the celebratory events organized to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
During the opening ceremony, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu emphasized that the bilateral relationship is currently in its strongest stage of development, with a focus on economic and cultural cooperation, as well as people-to-people exchanges.
Vietnamese festivals in Japan have become highly anticipated cultural exchange events for both Japanese friends and the Vietnamese community in Japan, reflecting the close ties between the two countries.
The three-day festival features various attractions such as star lanterns, lion dance performances, and mooncakes. Additionally, over 60 booths have been set up to showcase and promote the unique Vietnamese cuisine and handicrafts.
Prior to this event, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Fukuoka also organized a celebration on August 31st to commemorate the 78th National Day of Vietnam.
