According to ARY News, over 70 factory workers were looted in the Shah Faisal town of Karachi as the law and order situation in Pakistan continues to deteriorate. The dacoits, who were motorcycle riders, stopped a bus carrying the workers of a leather factory and escaped after looting them. The dacoits stole the mobile phones of all the workers, and the incident has been reported to the police.

This is not the first incident of its kind in the city, as on September 7, a father-son duo was killed by armed robbers in Karachi’s Korangi district for resisting a heist. CCTV footage captured the horrifying incident, showing three robbers entering a bookstore and opening fire on the owners when they resisted. In another incident in August, a taxi driver was shot dead for not stopping the vehicle during a robbery attempt near Karachi.

Pakistan is currently facing various challenges such as a food crisis, devaluation of the rupee, electricity shortage, and increasing attacks, leading to a rise in the crime rate in the country.
